Melbourne coach Paul Roos has laughed off the prospect of coaching a third AFL club.

Roos' three-year reign at the Demons ends after this season, with Simon Goodwin appointed his successor.

Melbourne boss Peter Jackson told Fairfax Media he would be staggered if another club did not try to tempt Roos with a senior coaching role for 2017.
